5th Advanced Fetal Imaging: Ultrasound & MRI Course
Chaired by Luis Goncalves
The 5th Advanced Fetal Imaging: Ultrasound & MRI Course, chaired by Luis F. Gonçalves, MD, is a one-day pre-conference educational program that provides a practical, multidisciplinary update on advanced prenatal imaging. Led by internationally recognized experts, the course highlights recent advances in first trimester evaluation of fetal anomalies, first trimester placental imaging, fetal neurosonography, fetal MRI, and fetal cardiac MRI, with emphasis on integrating imaging findings with contemporary prenatal genetics.
Through focused lectures and interactive panel discussions, participants will gain practical approaches to the evaluation of fetal central nervous system and cardiac abnormalities and the complementary roles of ultrasound and MRI in clinical practice. Designed for maternal-fetal medicine specialists, radiologists, pediatric cardiologists, sonographers, obstetricians, geneticists, trainees, and allied healthcare professionals, this course provides evidence-based knowledge that can be readily incorporated into prenatal care.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe current advances in first trimester fetal ultrasound, including early anatomic, neurosonographic, and placental evaluation.
- Recognize the complementary roles of ultrasound and fetal MRI in the assessment of fetal central nervous system abnormalities.
- Identify appropriate indications and current clinical applications of fetal MRI and fetal cardiac MRI.
- Apply a multidisciplinary imaging approach that integrates ultrasound, MRI, and genetics to improve prenatal diagnosis, counseling, and clinical management.
Meet our
Speakers
